Cooking Chef Ming's Gourmet Instant Ramen

I kept commenting on Chef Ming's videos to get him to make gourmet instant ramen and he actually did. So, today I'll be giving it a try to see how it tastes. I grew up watching Arthur and Simply Ming on PBS so it's just amazing to see him continuing to create content. Okay, so his preferred instant ramen is the Kung Fu noodles and I can't believe I never thought to do this, but he uses the oil packet to sauté the shitake mushrooms and green onions. That's just genius.

Then he adds celery and the seasoning packet. Next up is adding 2 cups of water and once it comes to a boil add the noodles. Once the noodles are cooked a little, he adds an egg directly in the broth. In a bowl, he places raw baby spinach and pours the ramen over the top so it cooks the greens. I really enjoyed this bowl since it has mushroom and sweet leafy flavors along with the savory broth. I do like spice in my ramen so next time I'll probably add chili oil.
