In this video, I'm making Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo for the first time. The recipe is from Natasha's kitchen. As always, link is down below. First, I cooked the fettuccine noodles and sliced up 2 chicken breasts. In hindsight, I should have sliced them up a little smaller but they still did the job. The chicken was seasoned with salt and pepper. In a hot pan, I added olive oil and tossed in the chicken. After browning the chicken, I removed it from the pan and added more olive oil, 1 tablespoon of butter, chopped onion. Next, was adding the mushrooms. At this point I was scared I had the heat to high and was going to burn everything.
The recipe called for 3 minced garlic cloves but I added 5 because extra garlic is never a bad thing. Unless you're a vampire, then it sucks to be you. Next, I poured in 3 1/2 cups of half and half. I was supposed to let it simmer and wait until it thickens before adding the noodles. It took around 20 mins and yes, I was too impatient so I increased the heat and brought it up to a boil. Once it started to thicken, I added the chicken and horribly chopped parsley. I added some more salt and pepper to taste. I ran into a little problem. The pan wasn't big enough to add the noodles. So I grabbed another to put the noodles in first and poured the sauce over the top. I cooked way too much for one person but luckily my neighbors were down for what was left.
