How I made cheese dip

If you follow me then you know that I like to find the easiest recipes possible. I found one online that I really wanted to try for a cheese dip. I heated up 2 tablespoons of butter and mixed in 2 tablespoons of flour on medium heat. You want to keep whisking until it bubbles up and then continue mixing for another minute. Next, whisk in 1 cup of whole milk until it simmers. It'll start thickening up and once it's able to coat a spoon, turn the heat off.

I removed the pan from the heat and added 6 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese one handful at a time. I think this is where I messed up a little bit. The consistency was great but I thought a little more cheese wouldn't hurt and it made the whole thing thicker. Then, I added a 4th teaspoon of chili powder and salt. I would've liked the consistency to be a little bit runnier but overall it still had a great taste.
