Have you ever tried bitter melon? Because I absolutely hated it as a kid and wouldn't eat it because it was so bitter. The only reason I didn't get in trouble with my parents was because I at least used the broth with my rice and dumped in a bunch of soy sauce.
Now, I've acquired a taste for it and don't mind the bitterness. It actually makes me feel like I'm eating something healthy. This is a typical Vietnamese version of bitter melon stuffed with pork and glass noodles that my brother made. And, of course, I still put soy sauce in the rice and soup but not as much. Have any of you tried it? If yes, do you like it?
