The story behind my 30 day ramen challenge

So today, I noticed a comment from someone saying that I'm about my 1 year anniversary on my 30 day ramen challenge video. I thought it'd be cool to tell the story behind it since it was so random. We had almost been a month into lockdown and I was going stir crazy. I was used to traveling every other weekend. At the time, I was already doing instant ramen videos for other social media platforms and I was trying to think of a challenge to do. I decided on 30 days of ramen because not only did I want to try different brands, I also wanted to learn how to cook better. If you look at some of the dishes I made, I used horrible techniques and not all of them turned out great.

And, this video kind of holds a special place in my heart because it was my first voice over video on YouTube. I was still so new at it that I didn't have a script. So I was doing my best to remember each day and then I would record it. Needless to say, it took me almost 30 hours to edit this video. And then I posted it and it didn't do as well as I thought it would. It sat at about 1000 views for 8 months and I kind of just forgot about it. But then at the same time this channel started growing, so did that video. Coincidence? I'm not sure. Now, the video is sitting at 3.5 million views.
